Garden Program
The Community Action Garden Program is designed to encourage self-support by providing low-income households with the essential materials to start growing a vegetable garden.
Eligible program participants receive a $20 voucher from Community Action of Southern Kentucky, Inc. The voucher can be used to purchase garden products, such as garden seeds, garden plants, and/or fertilizers.
- Income for all household members combined must not exceed 125% of current federal poverty income guidelines.
- Clients must be willing to participate in a follow-up evaluation related to garden productivity.
- Gardens can be grown for the household or for revenue.
