Adult Education & Job Development

The instructional and supportive services offered through the Adult Education and Job Development Program help individuals acquire the necessary skills to become economically self-reliant. In addition to referrals from the Agency's Head Start, Community Services, and Senior Services Programs, adults from BRASS, Drug Court, and the Family Enrichment Center gain new or greater knowledge and skills through this Program.

  • Dress for Success

Computer Classes

  • Maneuvering the Mouse
  • Navigating the Internet
  • Basic Word, Excel, Power Point, and Email

Basic Skills Tutoring

  • English Grammer
  • Math
  • Writing Skills
  • Job Development

Job Development

Job Development Services is a chance to prepare for future opportunities. Join staff for a full course that includes: self assessment, job searching, resume writing, interviewing, and dressing for the position, or choose any one or more of these topics that best meet individual needs. Basic computer lessons to enhance job development skills are also offered.

Availability

Adult Education and Job Development services are currently available at the Community Action Education & Human Services Center located at 200 East 4th Street, Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Monday & Wednesday - 8:30am till 5:00pm

Tuesday & Thursday - 3:30pm till 8:00pm

This special project draws upon various sources for funding. Currently the program receives funds from Kentucky Housing Corporation and Head Start Program.
